Microlearning

Overview: Microlearning is a method of teaching that uses small amounts of information in short periods of time with the goal of improving knowledge retention.

Tool:  Canva for Education  https://www.canva.com/education

I picked this tool because it offered many options for infographics, posters, social media posts, videos, The tool is a great resource because it provides many ways to make learning interactive. Another reason that sets Canva apart from other tools is the option for an educator account.  This educator account allows teachers to access all of their templates and images for free with valid proof of a teaching certificate.  Therefore, I felt like I had more choices available to jazz up my project.

Learning Theory & Reflection: The learning theory that supported me most while learning Canva is constructivism.  Constructivism promotes active learning through student-centered activities.  Through this project, I was able to learn through a hands-on approach.  For example, I learned through constructivism by clicking around, trial and error, and actively searching the resources needed to succeed in the final project.
